I teach writing workshops through the greater Boston area. I have taught on how to develop a freelance writing business, journalistic writing, and creative writing.
In any class, my goal is to create a warm environment where attendees feel comfortable asking questions and making sure they get the information they need. For creative writing classes, usually a third of each session is devoted to a lecture on craft and the rest of the time is spent discussing participants’ work in a supportive, constructive way. Classes on freelance writing and journalism are more lecture-heavy, but dialogue and participation are encouraged.
Classes can be tailored to meet your time constraints. They can be anywhere from a 3-hour workshop to a 10+-session class.
Clients include Boston Center for Adult Education, Brookline Adult and Community Education, Wellesley Council on Aging, and private clients.
